This weekend was the best I had in a long time. Sometimes weekends seem to only exist of one day which is over before you know it. And sometimes the weekend seems much longer than only two days and you feel like it’s going on for days. The latter is the feeling I had this weekend [luckily!].
On Friday evening I had drinks with one of my old roommates and we had dinner at the Bazar in Amsterdam. Its the perfect place to go if you don’t have time to go on holiday but feel like getting out of the European atmosphere and move over to the Middle East. The menu here has something for everyone. Enjoy fish, meat, vegetarian, you can find it all. Oh and don’t eat to much before you go here, because the plates are way to big for one person and almost enough to share. Enough about the Bazar, I will make a separate post about this later and share some delicious food pictures too!
This Saturday felt like Sunday. I had no plans whatsoever and I could do and go wherever I wanted. The real weekend feeling. In the evening I went to Waterkant to celebrate my friend’s birthday. The weather was still perfect after a nice and sunny day. Waterkant is perfect in summer due to the location along the water. And since it’s quite big you can always find a spot to chill out!
Sunday morning I put my alarm clock at 8:00 so I was sure to not sleep through my alarm and miss my train. I was going back to my hometown to visit my grandma for her birthday and we would give my mum’s husband’s birthday present too this day. We all pitched in to give him a long desired wish; a helicopter flight. Only happy people!
Which made this beginning of the week so much easier!
Enjoy your week!
